My Professional PhotoJeffrey L. Morrow, Ph.D., Senior Fellow of the Principium Institute, is Professor of Theology at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. He is also a Senior Fellow of the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology. A Jewish convert to Catholicism, Dr. Morrow teaches a wide range of courses including The Theology of Pope Benedict XVI, Apologetics, The Eucharist, and The Theology of the Old Testament. A popular speaker, Dr. Morrow has been featured on EWTN, and has spoken at Franciscan University of Steubenville’s Defending the Faith Conference and Applied Biblical Studies Conference, as well as at events sponsored by the Coming Home Network. Dr. Morrow earned both his M.A. and Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Dayton and specializes in the history of modern biblical interpretation. He is an active member of a number of scholarly organizations including the Society of Biblical Literature and the American Academy of Religion, and has presented more than 40 scholarly presentations before these and other academic gatherings. In addition to his publications through the Principium Institute, he is the author of several books including Murmuring Against Moses (co-authored with John Bergsma; Emmaus Academic, 2023), Modern Biblical Criticism as a Tool of Statecraft (co-authored with Scott Hahn; Emmaus Academic, 2020), Liturgy and Sacrament, Mystagogy and Martyrdom (Pickwick, 2020), and Alfred Loisy and Modern Biblical Studies (The Catholic University of America Press, 2019), among others, and he has published more than 100 articles, book chapters, entries in reference works, and book reviews, including more than 20 scholarly articles in refereed journals like the International Journal of Systematic TheologyJournal of Religious HistoryJournal for the History of Modern TheologyToronto Journal of Theology, and Pro Ecclesia.
